​​I offer positive, solution focused therapy to help you resolve your individual challenges and achieve positive change. I provide a kind, supportive and non judgemental space where we can work together. The emphasis is on overcoming limiting beliefs, and developing a positive mindset to create lasting change and wellbeing.
​​​​My approach is based in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and uses practical, structured and well researched techniques. I integrate Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Neuro Linguistic Processing (NLP) and Hypnosis. This comprehensive toolkit ensures that your sessions can be tailored to suit your needs.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of 'talking therapy' that combines psychotherapy with hypnosis. Using clinically proven strategies, the therapy can help you to make significant changes in a relatively short period of time. Up to 95% of your thoughts, habits and beliefs originate from your subconscious. Hypnotherapy helps access that and enables change at a deeper level so you can overcome what is holding you back and experience life in a happier and healthier way.

We will begin each session with talking therapy. I will encourage you to express yourself positively, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems. We will focus on what is going well and how you can overcome your challenges and take positive steps towards your goals.

This is followed by a guided relaxation known as hypnosis. It is a key part of the therapeutic process as it will reduce anxiety, consolidate what we have discussed and embed lasting change.​​

How do I know if it is right for me?

You can contact me for more information or book an Initial Consultation where we can discuss your reasons for coming and how you would like help. I will explain how hypnotherapy works and answer any questions. There is no obligation and you can decide whether hypnotherapy is right for you.

What does hypnosis feel like?
​
Hypnosis is a very relaxing experience. It is similar to daydreaming and so it feels very natural and enjoyable. The hypnosis is done very simply through relaxation and visualisation. ​Although you are relaxed your mind is alert and you are completely in control at all times.
​
At your Initial Consultation you will receive a hypnotherapy MP3 so you can try it at home before you come for your first session.

How many sessions will I need?
​
Sometimes change happens quite quickly, for others it may be longer. It varies for each person and the reason for coming. You can choose how many sessions you have and how often. I also provide long term support which many people find helpful.

Do you work with children?
​
Yes, children and teenagers respond very well to hypnotherapy. I work with children over the age of 8 and have had addition training in working with children and young adults. The sessions may be shorter depending on the child and for younger children (with a reduced fee). Parents or caregivers and invited to attend an Initial Consultation to find out more.
