Anxiety can be described as extreme worrying and there are many different triggers from 'micro' stresses everyday to major life changes. Everyone experiences anxiety differently. You may feel a constant dread and unable to switch of your mind from worrying or you may suddenly feel panicky but not know why.

 

As anxiety increases you could begin dreading or even avoiding some situations and it can affect your day to day activities. If your anxiety is affecting your life, then I can support you with gentle and effective therapy that will help you to regain control over your anxiety and cope better in many different situations.

How I Help

I specialise in supporting clients with anxiety and work with  various anxiety disorders including Generalised Anxiety (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Attacks, Social Anxiety, Health and Performance Anxiety.  I understand how these  conditions develop and can help you to overcome your anxiety with individual treatments that are tailored to your needs.

 

Using a gentle and forward thinking approach I will help you understand why your anxiety is happening and address the causes. Your sessions will be based in a positive, solution focused approach and will incorporate therapeutic methods that are the most appropriate for you. These may include CBT to help you identify and change your thinking patterns, mindfulness techniques to calm your mind and hypnosis to boost your confidence and balance your emotions.

Yor sessions will also be supported with a hypnotherapy or relaxation track to use at home.
