Pregnancy and Childbirth.

Every pregnancy and every baby is unique and although this can be a happy time, there are many challenges too. If you have specific concerns or issues that cannot be resolved in a general hypnobirthing class then a more individual approach can help.

 

These sessions combine solution focused therapy and hypnobirthing techniques to match your needs. â€‹The solution focused therapy will help you overcome any personal issues so you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy and the calming hypnobirthing techniques will help you to gain the skills and confidence for a positive childbirth.

What To Expect

I offer personalised support that is tailored especially to you. Each session combines conversation with hypnosis and will focus on the areas that you find most beneficial. 

 

It may be that you want on focus on solution focused therapy to help with individual concerns such as anxiety, low mood, a previous birth experience, phobia, family issues, ongoing stress or lifestyle changes. Or you may want to learn how to relax quickly, keep calm and feel confident and positive during labour. The emphasis may vary with each session. 

 

Hypnobirthing techniques include self hypnosis, breathing, relaxation and positive visualisation to help you have a comfortable and positive birth experience. You will receive information and a hypnotherapy MP3 to support your sessions at home.​

 

Whatever your focus, the sessions are very nurturing and supportive and  allow you to relax and bond with your baby. The sessions work brilliantly alongside your midwife, antenatal or NCT class allowing you an opportunity, just for yourself, to focus on what is best for you and your baby.

When should you start?

You can start at any time and spread the sessions out to suit you which also gives you time to enjoy your pregnancy and practice the techniques. Most people find that a package of 6 sessions is really beneficial, depending on individual circumstances.

It is never too late for a session to be of benefit though. If you are approaching your due date, even one or two sessions will help you to calm your anxiety and learn some useful techniques.

Post Natal

If you feel overwhelmed as a new parent then you are not alone. While becoming a new parent is incredible, it is also challenging. You may feel anxious, uncertain and find it hard to cope. I offer supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel supported, helping you to feel calmer, gain confidence and enjoy parenthood.
